When it was born, in 2003, Faint Hallucination was only a way to spend time. A distraction, absolutely started by chance. Then we realized something: writing for fun and in our free time, we'd written about 800 pages in less than six months. Moreover, the feedback of our first beta-readers was far more positive than we've thought.

It was then that this story's found a name (which had a very problematic genesis) and another way to express itself. Faint hallucination is, as a matter of fact, a double project involving simultaneously a story - written in the most of classic way - and a manga.

The story has a very direct formulation, generated by the meeting of two completely different styles: one absolutely manga-like and the other one more classic. This collision gave birth to a structure quite dense but dynamic, made of dialogues, expressions and attitudes coming from japanese mangas: like sweatdrops and free talks between characters and authors. In some way the two styles have compensated for each other.
The manga is a diluted version of the story. Sometimes scenes are perfectly reproduced in details but it was inconceivable to draw the WHOLE story (unless condemning Zurundolo to draw for the rest of his life), so it was born a more simple script that keeps the very same plot, but in an easier way. Basically the two projects are complementary and we suggest to read both of them.

Defining the genre of Faint Hallucination is, perhaps, the most complicated of things. Basically is a fantasy - with its part of spells and magic - but things change according to the character (they're twelve) who's important for the plot in that moment. Some characters bring with them a darker tone, others are more sunny and bring the plot to more relaxing stages.
However, like any other thing in Faint Hallucination, there was no planning at all: everything is happened casually and casually was resolved.

Nothing more to say. Every other thing will be explained during the reading/watching of the story. We only hope you like it at least half of what we enjoyed writing it and we invite you to contact us for everything: criticisms, compliments, suggestions, cheques...

Warnings:

- The story has a very strong shonen ai component - which means homosexual male love. This is to advise who doesn't think himself able to bear this sort of themes. We wrote nothing upsetting or offensive, neither personally we thought of homosexuality as an alien subject that needs further explanations, but there's always people with hopelessly closed mind. So, now you're advised. Keep out of here if you don't like it.

- Faint hallucination is not a children story. You know, we didn't write anything more scandalous than tv rubbish but it is not a fairy tale: there are bad language, double-meanings, blood etc.
It's not supposed to be PG. So if you have (are?) sensitive children, go to see "The Lion King".
